Pretty Special
Paris-Journal

Paris has a translucent special light in the summer. When the sun shines a chalky pastel filter gives an irredescent quality. My first trip to Paris was for shopping for work though, spending my an hour in Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. That’s when I first developed a passion for handbags to. The history, culture and sheer magnificent buildings are enough to win you over. The metro is really easy to understand once you know your destination and because it’s by colour, I found it easy to understand. I always loved the fact that on one a random walkabout I came across the Folie Bergere building. The food, the art history, the buildings, I could go on.

Visiting the catacombs of Paris, where all the skeletons of six million people are held because of over crowded cemeteries, is a really weird experience. The bones and skulls are arranged in decorative formations which almost seem disrespectful.

Versailles just bowls you over with it’s sheer magnificence. The hall of mirrors, even though cram jam packed is a sight to see. Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet is like a Lilliput lane in reality for adults. The waters surrounding the Hamlet are filled to the brim with fish so much so they swarm and jump out of the water.

We love to hear about the months and years, memories and stories, that become buried deep into every crease, stitch and groove of our jackets.
